Exception handling during conversion process
This allows you to specify certain actions the system should take while converting clock movements to attendance records.
 Create overtime records automatically
Select YES if you do NOT want the system to require confirmation for long periods of overtime or overtime on weekends. If set to NO, the system ??? compares overtime and short time, and then requires you to OK the record if there is more overtime than normal time. ??? This can get tedious if you have lots of overtime, in which case you should probably use a standard report to look at overtime.

 Discard problem clockings automatically
You should generally choose the default value of NO. Selecting YES means that if an employee clocked in but not out, or forget to clock in and then did clock out, the system will IGNORE the single clocking, resulting in no payment for the day. While this may be legally acceptable, it is quite harsh and may have other negative consequences in terms of worker attitudes.

 Minimum gap between clockings
Select a period to use to prevent duplicate clockings for standalone clocks. Using a setting of 5 minutes as shown means that two clocking events for the same employee occurring within five minutes of each other will be treated as a single clocking.
