The system can convert clock data into attendance records in four different ways, as shown here. Clicking any one of these buttons will change the conversion method without warning you and you might not notice that this has happened until it causes problems. If you press a button by accident, reset the conversion method to its previous setting immediately.
Note that the conversion method selected has a bearing on time programme definitions and vice versa. Please feel free to contact us for advice.

 Single conversion
Use this option if you are running a farm or a simple business where staff arrive in the morning and depart in the evening, and are not able to leave the workplace for meal breaks. This is the simplest and easiest conversion method, as it will automatically deduct defined meal breaks and only requires two clockings per person per day. It has some specialised features in respect of overtime on weekends, as well as overtime worked after 20:00 in the evening and before 04:00 in the morning.

 Pure single conversion
This is a simplified version of Single Conversion, and was designed to work with day shifts only, with a minimum of exceptions requiring user intervention. This is the preferred option for contractors working on site.
|
|
 Multiple conversion
This option was designed to work with employees working in an environment where they take meal breaks outside the workplace, e.g. a shop or office, where extended meal breaks may be problematic. It is also suitable for irregular working hours such as those in the restaurant or retail trade.

|
 Manual conversion
This option is normally useful only for really complicated situations where staff cannot be relied upon to clock with precision, leading to difficult situations which the program cannot easily resolve automatically. If you think that this option is required for your situation, please call us so that we can advise you on alternatives. It can be a lot of work doing everything by hand.
