Conversion is the process which uses raw clock data as input to create the attendance records which form the basis of the time calculation and payslip modules. Whenever the system encounters a problem during this process which it cannot solve by itself, it will stop and present you with an
exception window. You are expected to resolve the problem before continuing with conversion.
NOTE 1:
You will notice a "Skip employee" button on the exception window. Clicking this button does NOT remove the problem. It merely allows you to postpone processing the data for that employee and carry on with the conversion. You will still have to sort the problem out later.
NOTE 2:
A button labelled "Ignore marked record(s)" may appear on the exception window.
Please use it with care. It means "Mark the problem clocking(s) as discarded". Once a clocking has been marked in this way, the system will disregard it during any future processing until you reactivate it (
change its status to "Unconverted").
