Payslip options

Payslip options
 
This window appears every time you generate payslips. It allows you to specify some general options which will apply to all the payslips about to be created.

Start date

1. Start date
The first day of the period to be used for calculating hours/short time/overtime.

End date

2. End date
The last day of the period to be used for calculating hours/short time/overtime.

Afrikaans heading

3. Afrikaans~heading
The heading to appear on Afrikaans payslips. The system will place a default value in this field which you can change to suit your requirements.

English heading

4. English~heading
The heading to appear on English payslips. The system will place a default value in this field which you can change to suit your requirements.

Get previous amounts

5. Get previous~amounts
Unless they were defined as non-recurrent (see here) all additional payments and deductions which appeared on each employee's previous payslip (except for loans which have been repaid) will be carried over to the new payslip. Indicate here whether you want the AMOUNTS of those items to be carried over as well or whether they should be shown as zeros.

Get previous remarks

6. Get previous~remarks
Specify whether you want the remarks which appeared on each employee's previous payslip to be shown on the new one (Yes/No). The selection "General note" is mainly for use when you are creating a batch of payslips and want to print a standard message on all of them. It is equivalent to "No" and the note will replace all remarks which would have appeared had you chosen "Yes".

If you have selected "General note" under the item "Previous remarks", this field will become visible. You can type a note which will be shown on all the payslips.

Choose the group of employees for whom the payslips must be generated. Not visible when a payslip is being created for one employee only.

Change payslip tariffs

??? I have seen data that does not show the gross pay in the personnel record, so I don't know what to say here???

Show payslips after creation?

10. Show payslips~after creation?
Choose "Yes" if you want the payslips to be displayed one by one on the screen after they have been generated. This will enable you to check them and make any adjustments required without having to call each one up separately afterwards. Not visible when a payslip is being created for one employee only: the payslip will always be displayed in that case.

Create the payslips using the selected options.

Close the window without creating payslips.
