Hand scanner clocking systems
This system is intended to establish a completely new approach to biometrics, especially in view of the type of environment many of our products are used in.
Instead of fully relying on a fingerprint to identify a worker, the system makes use of basic measurements of four fingers to confirm the worker's identity. In so doing, the problems typically associated with fingerprints (dirty, worn, dry or oily fingers and hard-to-read fingerprints), are eliminated.
In addition, the system will take a photograph of each worker for EVERY clock transaction. These photographs are then transferred to the computer together with the normal clock data. They may be viewed as part of the data processing procedures, and those selected as proof of fraud, may then be stored in the database permanently, for use during disciplinary processes.
Because the system uses no tokens or buttons like the rest of our range, it eliminates losing of buttons and forgetting buttons at home, as well as the administration involved in these actions.
The clock itself is a standalone, battery-driven instrument like our other products, and may be used in the same environments. It has the same robust, modular construction, and both the hand scanner component and the keypad utilise contact-free sensors to completely eliminate moving parts and wear and tear.
The functioning of the system is based upon it "learning" the worker's hand over time, and therefore eliminating the potentially tiresome and difficult enrolment process on site. This also allows use of the clock away from the office on remote sites where skilled staff may not be available.
Clock data and photos are transported by means of a USB flash disk.

- Provides a really credible deterrent to clock fraud: It takes a special kind of person to attempt buddy-clocking on this machine, with its visible photo flash and hand scanner. In this way, we believe that very few people will even attempt to outsmart the machine.
